Welcome to ICE Distance Learning Program (IDLP).
The mission of the IDLP is to provide the same quality courses that are offered on the Main campus to our off-campus students in the convenience of their homes. While IDLP and on-campus course offerings may differ due to distinctions in student profiles and mediums of instruction, the programs are similar in range, goals, and purpose.
DELIVERY METHODS
Course instruction is available through various recorded media, namely, cassette, CD, Video and DVD.
Registered students can also join ongoing Main campus classes live (on class night) via secure web access. Classes remain archived for up to two weeks after they are taught for students to view and review at their own convenience.
STRUCTURE
Students are allowed 30 days to complete each course. Of course they may accelerate their pace to complete their course work in a fewer number of days.
The flexibility of this Distance Learning Program is an enormous advantage to motivated self-disciplined learners. Remember: any student’s prospect for academic success is in his or her own hands. ICE makes these superior tools available to the student, but it’s entirely up to the student to manage his or her time to take full advantage of these tools.
MENTORS
ICE believes that a mentor is a vital part of any distance-learning program. Having someone meet you face to face is critical to your learning experience and educational success. It takes the place of classroom discussion and interaction with other students in a classroom setting.
Every degree-seeking student (except senior pastors) should have a mentor. Mentors include church elders, pastors, licensed ministers, or chaplains. They should meet with the student for at least one hour per course to check on student’s progress and discuss subject matter.
Mentors should be selected within 30 days of acceptance into the IDLP. They should commit to serve for a minimum of a one-year program (usually 9 courses).
TESTING
Once the course work has been fully completed, exams are mailed to the student. The tests are administered by proctors who are chosen by the students according to ICE-established criteria. Acceptable proctors include members of the clergy, family, chaplains, or educators. Complete requirements and guidelines are attached to the examination paperwork.
It is the proctor’s responsibility to ensure the academic integrity of the testing process. Proctors mail the tests back to ICE for grading.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT

His department is available to assist you with choosing and scheduling courses and to help solve unexpected problems. In addition, every course is managed by a faculty member who is also available to answer related questions.
It will be an honor to serve you and to welcome you to our ever-growing global family.
